Thank you Patrick for your response but unfortnately it didn't work. I'm trying to make a copy of a page from my bank book. But the page I'm trying to copy is printed too light. I scanned it into my paint program and I thought it give me some instruction on how to darken the copy but I see nothing that gives me that option. I'm using MS paint if that helps any. Do you have any suggestions any would be helpful. This Pixma MG3220 printer isn't really as good as i thought it would be. This is the first printer I've heard of that doesn't allow you to make light or dark copies. What printer doesn't have the option of allowing you to make dark copies.

Hi big809,

It is recommended that area is not cleaned as the possiblity exists that the print quality could diminish is the wrong area is touched.

Hi big809,

The PIXMA MG3220 will only allow you to perform a "Fast" copy or "Standard" copy.  By default, "Standard" is the mode in which the PIXMA MG3220 copies.  If you wish to make darker copies, please scan the original to your computer, where you can darken it and then print it from there.

To keep my canon Pixma mg 3220 clean and in perfect order would recommend that I clean underneath where the ink cartridges are. It tends to leave behind some ink residue and I was wondering should I ocassionally clean that area of just leave it as is? I await your response.

Thank you patrick once again you have fulfilled my request thank you and do have a very pleasant safe and happy weekend.
