How do I fix error code P02 for a MG 2120 Printer?

I was given this printer and replaced the ink cartridges but I still get an error message.

No paper jam.

Turned machine off and on.

Nothing works.

Hi tennis51,

This error typically indicates one of the inks is not inserted properly.  Check out the link below for a few things you can try.  Hope this helps!

I got the same problem, but the ink Cartridges stay in left side, I can't take the ink out??

Hi Cary88,

To try and remove the inks, please turn off the printer, unplug the power cord from the back and then, gently with your finger, try to move the ink cartridge holder over so that you can remove the ink cartridges.  If the ink cartridge holder does not move over easily, please do not force it, as this can do damage to the printer.  Once the ink cartridges are removed, you can then plug the printer back in and turn it on, then reinsert the ink cartridges.

If the error still occurs after reseating the ink cartridges, or if  you are unable to remove the cartridges, the printer will require servicing.  Please Contact Us for your servicing options.

Hi; thanks for posting this message and instructions. I had the same error and my instruction manual said to call Canon for Service (on a $50.00 printer....) However, when I checked the ink cartridges as suggested here, I found a sheet of paper STUCK, which was keeping the ink cartridge mechanism from moving left to right upon powering up. Pulled out the paper and presto! machine is working again. Thanks so much!!!!
