I'm using Pixma iP 4500 and it is making horizontal white streaks if I print color. Printing b&w is OK. I have done repeated in place cleaning, incldding deep cleaning. Replaced cartridges, soaked print head in water for five hours. Nothing I've tried has made one bit of difference.
I now want to know if anything other than clogged printhead can cause such streaks. Surely all the cleaning I've done should have had some effect if clog was the problem. I would include a streaky test photo but don't see a provision to do that.

Hi meamjw,
Since the cleanings did not resolve the issue, please perform a print head alignment on the printer by following the steps located at the link below:
If you still experience the horizontal streaks, the printer will most likely require servicing; please call or email us at one of the methods on the Contact Us page to obtain your servicing options.
