Help setting up new printer

I need help setting up a new Pixma 9160. I only got as far as installing ink! Printer won't recognise the PGBK: keeps giving error message. I've turned power off, and reinserted many times. I can't move on.

Surely it is the right cartridge, it cam with the printer!

Any ideas to sove this?
