Connected to Macbook.  In the printer app on the computer it "Printing - Connected to computer".  But the progress bar just keeps swinging back and forth and the document doesn't print.  Thanks for any help.

Greetings,

A few questions for you.  What version of MAC OS (version and build) are you running?

Is this a new installation?  Did this work previously?

Is the wireless network a single device (router or AP).  Are you using a mesh system in addition.

Please confirm basic connectivity.  What is the IP address of the printer, what is the IP address of the computer.  Does the printer's web server display if you type the IP address into a browser and press enter?

macbook pro 2023, sonoma 14.5, Canon G7000 series.  Constantly "printer is offline."  You say, "Assign printer a static IP name:  but didn't say how that's done.  How to?  Thanks, Greg

Greetings,

@prechergreg.  Happy to assist you, but please start your own post.

Thanks for your reply.  Running MacOS 12.6 (Monterey).  The printer worked previously.  I was able to fix the problem by checking the black and white box.  But then the next the the black and white box was not checked but it worked anyway.  Mysterious.  But as long as it works I won't investigate further.  Too many other things to do 🙂
