G7020 Banding issues out of the box

New out of the box G7020 unit. Performed print head alignment, and a nozzle check as well. Both are perfect with no issues. I'm printing on Hammermill premium inkjet/laser 24lb 97 brightness printing paper. No matter what I'm still getting this banding issues on all my color prints. Hi,

Purchased a G7020 which had this issue, spent hoursss with canon on the phone.. no solution from them. I returned the printer and got a replacement, but the second one does the same 😞 Did you fix the issue? Will bring back and exchange for another brand if I cannot find a solution...

I had the same issue out of the box.  I played around with printer settings on the printer itself based on other things I found and nothing fixed it, UNTIL I went to my print dialog and set print quality to "high" from "standard".  Keep clicking on things like "system dialog" and "more settings" until you get to that page.  I pasted the dialog below here, look for that exact page (Windows 11).  Probably same/similar in Windows 10.  Mac etc. not sure.  This caused the printer to slow down and made all the difference.
