Power light is on, disabled Auto Power Off but printer still goes offline over time, have to power cycle twice to make available, how can I resolve this so I can use printer when I'm away from it.

You can try disabling the ipv6 setting on your printer. Please click HERE for the steps.

The menu is different on the G3270 but I think I found the setting, no way to see if ipv6 is off or on, I enabled/disabled & enable ipv4, again no way to tell if both are on or off.
I have found that if the PC is up & connected it will stay this way (so far...) but when off for extended periods I have to power cycle the printer (which is in standby mode) to have it online.
