Recently my printed images appear very flat, washed out and lack any degree of contrast. This is true on glossy photo paper and standard paper (which I would expect for standard paper). I've read comments indicating that standard print quality solves the problem but both standard and best quality are equally poor.  I've tried different types of photo paper including Kodak and Canon. I'm using Canon ink.  I've printed from both from the Apple desktop and from within Lightroom Classic) with identical (poor) results.  My images look great on my calibrated monitor and also when emailed/texted to other devices (iPad, iPhone, etc.). The I'm printing from full resolution photographs from a full Frame Nikon Camera.  This is a recent problem as photo prints used to be sharp and colorful,,,, as expected. I've tried numerous print settings and color profiles but the prints are consistently very poor.  All of my software is up to date and I've just dowloaded/installed the most recent drivers for the printer.  I've also run maintenance procedures on the printer and all looks good there. 

Just not sure where to go from here. Hoping someone can give me some ideas and/or point me in the right direction.   Thanks for your help.

Another recent issue (I have been meaning to talk with Apple about) which I'll mention 'just in case' it could somehow be related.  Occasionally, my MacBook Pro Display will adopt a purplish hue.  I go into properties and reset the preset (I'm using Apple XDR Display (P3-1600 nits) and the display resets and looks great.  Again, don't want to introduce another question.  I mention it only in case it might somehow be related????   I have the Mac set as a mirror to the Thunderbolt Display which is used as the main display.  

The one from LrC really looks good.

You have performed a lot of evaluation and testing. You might want to contact Canon support at 1-800-OK-CANON and discuss with them; particularly since you were getting good results at one time. Can you identify what changed with computer between good and bad,such a an OS update?

I have an All-in-One TR8620a printer. As a test I printed the Outback test image from LrC (Windows 10 computer) on Plus Semi-gloss paper.

In LrC the only profile available for that printer is the one you listed, but my year is 2015, not 2005.

It printed perfectly. When I went to print from my MacBook Air w/Sequoia there were no printer profiles in LrC, so I had to select managed by printer. Chose the paper type in the driver. It printed perfectly.

In follow-up FYI.   Canon Tech support indicated that some of the grey bars on the left of the nozzle test strip were blurry.  They recommended cleaning the encoder steps with cotton swabs and alcohol.
