I read a LOT before I picked a printer and clearly it wasn't enough. There are refill kits available and we SHOULD be able to use these in these monstrously horrid overpriced single use plastic containers. I am so completely dissatisfied with this pile of JUNK, I thought I liked until I realized that NOOOOOO, we can't refill these because you've put chips in that won't let them. SO, we are literally drowning in single use plastics that "maybe" could be recycled (which is a lie all around in the first place and doesn't save anything, as the energy use to recycle is higher than the energy used to create the plastic in the first place. How about Canon actually stands up for the sustainability that is all over the website and turn this little coding BS off on the printers and allow us to refill the ink cartridges. WHAT absolutely awful and fake sustainability practices where a new set of ink cartridges costs more than the initial outlay for a printer. WHAT IS WRONG WTITH YOU?!?!?!?!
