ERROR CODE B200 AND SCANNING

This MX922 is a replacement for a previous Canon printer which had similar error codes that I couldn't correct and ended up trashing it.  Now I have the same situation with this Canon and am thinking I need to switch manufacturers.  When it works, it prints and scans fine.  But this is ridiculous.  I have followed instructions from this group to correct:

 

ERROR CODE B200 -  turn off, unplug for 1 minute; open printer carriage door, turn back on, close carriage door when it returns halfway.  It fixes it for a few printings, then reocccurs.  Sometimes takes several times with this process. 

 

Scanning issue - SET THE PC TO START SCANNING!  New issue - followed this:

 

Click on the Windows Start button, click on Canon Utilities, IJ Scan Utility and then the IJ Scan Utility to open that program.

 

  1. At the top, next to Product Name, please make sure Canon MX920 series Network is selected.

 

  1. Place an item face down on the scan glass of your PIXMA MX922.

 

 4.  Click the AUTO button on the IJ Scan Utility

 

No change!  Beginning to hate this brand.  ANY ADDITIONAL INFO APPRECIATED.  THANKS!

MORE -  Running Windows 10.  Do I need to remove the printer, and reinstall as new?

The B200 error is an indication that an internal part inside of your PIXMA MX922 has failed and your PIXMA MX922 would require service.  You are eligible for Canon's Upgrade Program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service, or for some reason are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price.
