DEAD canon selphy cp900

My canon selphy cp900 will not power on. When power button is pushed nothing happens. No blinking green light, nothing on screen. I have tried the hard reset decribed elsewhere which entails disconnecting cords and pressing power button at least 5 times and then after 20 min. reconnecting to known working outlet. This printer has been used very little. I bought it for my mother-in-law two years ago who could never grasp how to use it and I recently repossesed to use it myself only to find that it's not working. All togeather it has printed maybe 4 times. Help please!
