Canon wont print on A4 glossy

Hello, I can't seem to get any settings to work to get the IP-2810 to print on A4 glossy photo paper. Each time it gives the 4102 error saying the paper size is wrong. I have all settings correct and even the Canon support email and phone rep had no answer for me. If you choose plain paper and print anyway it prints but the quality is low and the ink smears. I assume it's cause it's ment to spray a different amount of ink for glossy vs standard. I'm really hoping someone has faced and found a solution to this issue as my searches online have resulted in many questions but few answers and none that fix anything. Thanks.

I am having the same issue, I am sorry I wasted money on buying a printer that can't print on a full sheet of glossy paper and if I use the normal ink the black doesn't dry and it comes off 😞

i have the same problem in my mg 2540s... is there anything we can do about this...i tried to print in my A4 size glossy paper following the settings but it will not accept....it should nt be the a4..and if im going to print via plain paper option..the image color easily ripped off...hope they have solution for this
