PIXMA TR7500 Series: Prints about 90% and then freezes

thjohnsoniii

All of a sudden I have a problem with my printer, a Canon TR 7500 Series model, and it freezes after about 90-95% of the page is printed, but does not emerge completely from the printer and when I ultimately remove the paper with 90% of the type on it, that remaining 5% or 10% that was not typed on the page is left off the paper when it freezes before finally emerging.  Is there any knowledge as to what is going on and how I, myself, might be able to fix the problem?

This seems more like a paper feed/exit roller issue than a printhead. Make sure to check for small bits of paper in the rear path, and lightly clean any reachable rollers. You could also try printing serveral pages from a differenet paper back, to eliminate a paper issue.

If you cannot find any bits of paper in the feed path, try cleaning the paper rollers:

Cleaning the Paper Feed Roller on Canon TR7500

To ensure your Canon TR7500 printer feeds paper correctly, it's important to clean the paper feed roller when necessary. Follow these steps for effective cleaning.

Preparation

  • Materials Needed:
    • Three sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper

Cleaning Steps

  1. Access Maintenance Screen:
    • Turn on the printer and navigate to the Maintenance screen.
  2. Select Roller Cleaning:

    • Choose Roller cleaning from the options available.
  3. Choose Paper Source:

    • Select either Rear tray or Cassette to clean the corresponding paper feed roller.
  4. Remove Paper:

    • If cleaning the cassette, ensure to remove any paper from it and then push it back into the printer.
  5. Start Cleaning:

    • The paper feed roller will rotate for cleaning without paper. Wait until it stops rotating.
  6. Load Paper:

    • When prompted, load the three sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper into the printer.
  7. Complete Cleaning:

    • The printer will begin the cleaning process. Once finished, the paper will be ejected, and a completion message will appear.
  8. Final Step:

    • Select OK to confirm the cleaning is complete.

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using within the PIXMA TR7500 series.  The model number should appear on the front of the unit at the lower right. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.

Thanks and have a great day!
