Canon Pixma MG5650 shut off suddenly while printing and won’t turn it on

While printing my MG5650 suddenly shut off and won’t turn it on again no matter what I do.

I tried everything included reset procedure but couldn’t fix it, it just won’t react to power button pressure.

it’s just 1 year and a half old and it always worked flawlessly.

I thought it was power supply failure but took away psu (k30354) and tried it with another canon printer I own and it works perfectly with this psu installed, so failure doesn’t depend on psu board.

What else should I try before throwing it away in the garbage can?

Maybe trying to remove print head and then reinstalling it?

The problem is that with no power print head is locked on the right and so I have to remove cover first and whole carriage.

Is there perhaps a different way to remove printhead?

Any help will be sincerely appreciated...

Successfully disassembled printhead but no way, printer still won’t power up!
Now I really don’t know what else I can do...

Hello Gorkyd67,

Thank you for reaching out to Canon USA! We recommend getting in touch with our friendly support team for this in-depth issue. Support can be reached at 1-800-OK-CANON (800-652-2666) Monday - Friday from 10am to 10pm (ET).

If you're outside the US, you'll want to reach out to Canon in your country. You'll find contact information at http://global.canon/en/support

I did contact Europe support but all they can do is suggest me to ship printer to the nearest service center or propose me a discount for a newer model...

I’d rather trying to fix it on my own...

Any suggestion?

I was wondering what if I ordered a new printhead?
I found cheap on aliexpress but I want check if printhead is damaged first.
I noticed it’s the same printhead as mg5750.
What if try to boot my mg5750 with printhead taken from this defective mg5650?
And finally try to boot mg5650 with mg5750 working printhead?
Could I risk to burn mg5750 printhead?
