Hi everyone,
I'm having a problem with my Canon printer, which has been working perfectly for the past two months since I got it. Unfortunately, yesterday while printing via USB, I received a B200 error. After a few attempts, I decided to look for a solution online.
I found instructions on foreign forums that were supposed to help fix this error:
- Link to the article: https://fix-your-printer.blogspot.com/2011/10/how-to-fix-error-b200-on-canon-printers.html?commentPa...
- Instructions:
- Unplug the power cable.
- Open the printer.
- Push the whole print head mechanism to the center.
- While the printer is still open, plug the power in and turn it ON.
- When the printhead is still moving and is going to the very LEFT, close the cover.
- Wait until it boots up.
Unfortunately, after following these steps, the printer turned off and I haven't been able to turn it back on since. I checked the output voltages from the built-in power supply and they seem to be fine (around 11V and 8V). I visually inspected the motherboard and couldn't find any burns or damage. The fuse is also intact.
I found a similar problem on this forum with a PIXMA Pro 100 printer and a suggested solution there: https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/Professional-Photo-Printers/Pixma-pro-100-will-not-power-up/m-p/1... (referring to the answer marked as accepted).
Has anyone here encountered a similar problem or have any suggestions on how I can fix my printer? Could the procedure from the Canon forum for the PIXMA Pro 100 help in my case?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
