Canon MG4200 how to amend set up to give option to print black and white

When using the printer over wifi it gave an option to print black and white. Now using connection directly into laptop (for some reason it won't work over new wifi set up). But how do I amend to print in black and white as a default. Using a Mac OS X EI Capitan.

Hi karen2,

You can select the BLACK ONLY ink cartridge option in the printer driver to have the printer print in black and white by default.  To do this, please follow the steps shown here.
