Canon IP 7250 Head Alignment? [Windows 10]

Hi,

I have a print mis-alignment as you can see in the nozzle-pattern, print-out picture.

How do I correct it please?

Auto & manual correction does not allow me to correct the mis-aligned characters, it all done automatically with no hands-on option. The problem remains unresolved.

Found the manual alignment tool - corrected everything I could find with the '+' or '-' settings, but the print-out is exactly the same for the nozzle-check. Perplexed.

It looks like the problem is limited to the pigment black cartridge. Have you tried replacing it?

Thanks John, I was just wondering, along similar lines - that the black jet/nozzle might be partially blocked?

Will update

I’m not familiar with that particular printer, but many have an integral print head and ink reservoir.

Thanks. The printhead can be removed if clogged, but it's a fraught process. No, the ink is in cartridges, & the ink needs to be kept in motion, or the print nozzles dry, then clog. This may be why the head seized up, if there were empty cartridges & the printer simply wasn't telling me - then the nozzles would dry & clog. The ink display also tells me cartridges are dry, when in fact they are still half full, I wonder it there are contacts I could clean? Isopropyl?

The printer's working 100% now, despite that strange black tank result.

The large black ink tank was empty - ! - the printer was telling me it was 3/4 full. I replaced it with a new one. Prints are better, but the nozzle-check is the same: very odd the way everything else is good, except that one ink jet. I may have another go at cleaning the heads unit, in a day or so ~ nothing to lose.
