Canon G7020 printing black boxes around words

This started a few days ago and I have not figured out what is going on. I originally believed it was Powerpoint causing it, however, the issue does not go away when I covert to a PDF. Image shows what i see in print-preview versus what actually comes out of the printer. Any help would be much appreciated!

Are you typing these words out, or copying and pasting images of text into a powerpoint slide?

I'm just downloading the powerpoint slides from my classes and printing. I've attempted printing older ones that i've printed already and they don't print the same now.
