Hi Im having trouble with my connection to my ip8700 . I'm using a mobile as a hotspot to connect to my computer which has the images to print , I've tried turning on the computers hotspot as well as just leaving it on WiFi connecting to my phone. So the connection from the phone to the computer is working but the printer isn't printing .

Thanks for joining the conversation, Rhi!
So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using within the PIXMA iP8700 series. The model number should appear on the front of the printer at the upper left. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!
If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.
Thanks and have a great day!

I think the best way to do this is to use the phone as a hotspot, connect both the printer and your computer to your phone. The printer being the last thing to connect.
