Looking to confirm that I could use previously purchased Can 210 XL Black and 211 XL Color Ink Cartridges for new Canon printer which recommends PG 260 and CL 261 for replacement. Could this still be used in new printer and would there anything necessary to assure success of this cartridges purchased a few years ago.

Unfortunately, you cannot use cartridges made for another model printer, even if they fit.
