Hi,
I just bought a Canon MF8210cn about a week ago, but I've been having major issues trying to set it up in my home network.
This is how my printer is set up:
My printer is connected via a powerline ethernet adapter to my router.
When I use the PING command on my printer it is able to receive signals from my main PC's IP address, so I assume that my network is working fine.
Software
I installed MF Toolbox 4.9.1.1mf16 on my Windows 7 x64 OS, along with the drivers on your Canon support page here:
http://support-sg.canon-asia.com/contents/SG/EN/0100527702.html
I have also updated the printer firmware via USB connection.
What I can do properly with the printer so far
I am able to print without any problems from my PC.
Interestingly, I can also do a remote scan from my PC's MF Toolbox application.
The problem
I am unable to scan from my printer to my computer (i.e. pressing the scan button commands on my printer) Everytime I try, this error comes up:
"MF Toolbox that is supported by the scanner you are using may not be installed on your computer. Install the appropriate MF Toolbox, and then perform the operation again."
I have been looking all over the internet for a solution, but to no avail.
I'm just wondering if this is an issue with my printer, or do I have to use an older version of MF Toolbox?
A prompt reply will be much appreciated. Thank you!
