Hi, Smokey491!

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which operating system is running on your computer (i.e. Windows or Mac OS, and which version thereof). That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.

Thanks and have a great day!

Thanks, Danny.

I am using a 2018 MacBook Air, iOS 10.14.6, Mojave

When I select Print, the system cannot find the BJC-85 even though it is directly connected to USB port. It also cannot find an update.

I am having a similar problem. Thises are the messages I get. One is the msg in the Mojave Settings. And the one on the Canon website.

So how can we get this printer to work with a Mojave OS?canon webMessage in Mac Settings

none for linux either or newer than win7, only for PIXIMA model mobile printers which also is disc and used dif ink carts than your series mobile canon printer

I have the same problem with BJC-80. The operating system is Windows-7. I will need the driver and software.

Hi. The BJC-80 has been retired. Once a product is retired, the official Canon support content (troubleshooting articles, user guides, how-to videos, etc.) is removed from the Canon website.

To take advantage of Canon's innovative technologies, consider what we have to offer by consulting with our Canon Upgrade Program specialists by calling 866-443-8002.

Good reason NOT to buy Canon products. Thanks for the heads up. Most dependable companies maintain an discontinued or EOL page for long time patrons. See IBM Lenovo web site and others. Only issue with these mobile printers is lack of consumables and seems they wont work on 64bit systems, ALPS printers have similar issues since sold out. But these are great pri ters and only option for many aspects. The pixima was never in same class.

I own and use several models of these mobile printers and learned the older models (BJ-30, BJC-70, BJC-50 the thin one, BJC-80) wont work on newer OS than win98/xp nor capable of recognizing the Color Photo ink heads or Scanner on some plus no USB or blue tooth. So BJC-55 thin line, BJC-85, BJC-85W white not grey do all accs thur to EOL and newer OS 32bit thru Win7 have drivers installed for them. Also the thin line models have built in battery that is thinner than the add on battery for full size models also the thin lines have optional auto paper feed  making them like the full size models instead of single manual sheet feed but auto feeder cant feed card stock strait through so the BJC-55 is most versitile mobile printer still. Also ink tanks are refillable. There are 3 different size PSU over the years plus auto 12v adapter and other cables, cases etc. Last sold models were over $300US but often sell under $20 working. Ink was over $30 new now aprox $5. Going to make a fb group on these soon to better help fans.

For everyone looking for drivers, I highly recommend Guten-print. It is open-source and updated as needed.
