I have set the default save to folder in preferences on MP Navigator. Scans initiated from the 860 go instead to the old default foder

Hello dcoleman4.
Please try the following adjustment to change the default Save location:
1. Open the MP Navigator from your Desktop or the Canon Utilities listing of the Start Menu (Windows) or Applications folder (Mac).
2. Click Preferences.
3. Click the 'Scanner Button Settings' tab.
4. Change the 'Select Event' option to 'Save to PC'.
5. Under 'Save Settings', click 'Browse'.
6. Choose your desired location.
7. Click OK to exit the Preferences menu.
Once this has been done, try scanning to test the unit.

Tried that, hasn't worked.
Went into registry and deleted any location not desired. Then unistalled and re-installed, seems to have done the trick.
I have tried the above steps before. The solution seems to "hold" for a while then it seems to re-appear. Think it may be related to the inumerable WIN 7 updates from our friends at MS.
