Went to install the Downloader software from image.canon site with file named Di-1_4_0-Setup.exe and scanned it on virustotal.com.

Virtustotal said it is malicious/trojan.

image.canon is in the cloud and facilitates the connection between your camera and your other online services; there shouldn't be any software for you to download.

Can you tell us where you got this software? Provide a specific URL?

Hello Stephen,

To download the files from the iamnge.canon Cloud, this software is offered at the bottom of this image.canon page/URL:

https://image.canon/st/en/auto-download.html

Download the installer, then go to virustotal.com and select the file and see the results.

Thank you,

Eric

Hi eric_reiss,

Thank you for providing information on the issue you are seeing. I sent an alert to our software team to double check the download. We want to make sure the software downloads from our web pages are safe.

Hello Hazel_T,

I scanned as couple of other files I downloaded and they were all fine.  So that was the only download from Canon site that was concerning.

Regards,

Eric
