What software is compatible with HDR PQ?

Hello all, 

I'm shooting on an R10, and am looking to work with 10 bit footage. I want to know what software is ideal for HDR PQ? Da Vinci Resolve doesn't work apart from Studio. What about Premier Pro? Is that a viable option? Does anyone have input that they could share?

This is primarily a matter of preference.  If I was heavily invested in Adobe, I'd go with creative cloud.

Premiere Pro will run you $252 a year

I don't care for software subscriptions so, DR Studio $295 lifetime

Like Premiere Final Cut has been available on Mac forever If you like MacOS, Final Cut Pro $299.99.  

These are pretty much the top three HDR PQ 10-bit apps.  It's supported in other "lesser" applications, but none are more robust from a development standpoint as the above three.

For working with HDR PQ and 10-bit footage from your R10, Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro are viable options, both fully supporting HDR PQ workflows. DaVinci Resolve Studio, the paid version, also excels in HDR workflows and color grading. Ensure you have the latest versions of these software for the best HDR features.

Remember that when HDR PQ is selected that you also get files compressed with H.265 compression as well as 10-bit. H.265 is a challenge for all but very high performance computers and graphics cards, or Apple M processors.
