Did you mean:

This would make the Canon Connect app super

The ability to trigger the shutter on motion detection.

I often set up to shoot animals when the come to feed.

I have to sit and wait and wait and wait.

Motion detection in the Connect app would be super and a plus for Canon.

And don't stop there, add it to the EOS utility.

EOS R5, R6, R6II. RF 15-35 f/2.8L, 50mm f/1.2L, 85mm f/1.2L, 100mm f/2.8L Macro, 100-400mm, 100-500mm L, 1.4X.

Canon has a potentially great marketing tool in camera connect.

It would not be rocket science to add things like:

- fire on motion detect (even my cheapo webcam has that)

- focus stacking - since Camera Connect has focussing capability, you should be able to select a start focus distance, end                       focus distance, and an increment.

These additions would make CC a killer app.

I would even pay for it.  Call it Camera Connect Pro

Have been doing that with 7D, 6D and ML. Used motion detection to capture lightnings (but a bit slow).

Wouldn't this require for the camera to be in Live View mode the entire time?  The OVF AF/Metering systems might work.
