RAW images showing up as JPGs in Lightroom

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently had a Canon Powershot SX70 bought for me and I’ve been shooting in RAW but when I’ve connected to my laptop and gone to edit in Lightroom they are showing as JPEG, any ideas how to resolve this please? I’m fairly new to this so sorry if it’s obvious.

Do you still have the images on your SD card? Can you load a few into Dropbox or One Drive so we can troubleshoot?
