RAW Pics from EOS R7 Appear as Dark Boxes on macOS 12

I just got the R7 and when I download my photos to PHOTOS on my Mac, the photos appear as dark boxes, not photos. I see them on the card but not in the program. I am speaking of RAW photos. Anyone know how to correct this?

Which program?

MAC has a program/app called photos. Same as on the iPad but my issue is it, on my desktop. I download everything there and the files I wish to edit I drag in photoshop or Lightroom.

macOS may not have RAW support for the R7 yet

I think the issue is solved. I downloaded utilities and other software from the canon site and that solved the problem

Yep, not supported yet. Try again with Ventura.

With the help of a friend who sent me two R7 RAW files I have verified that DPP4 and Apple Photos will open and edit the R7 RAW files.
