After my Powershot sx540 HS was updated with the latest firmware it will no longer connect to my phone. The phone and the camera recognize each other but at the last step of authorizing access to the SD card the camera disconnects. However, if you put a blank SD card in the camera or one with a few images it connects. There is nothing wrong with the SD card that was removed before the technicians updated the camera and the SD card is still able to have images stored on it. I now have no way of retrieving any of my photography from the camera. After doing research I see this is a common problem with Canon Camera Connect and the camera firmware. I have no way other than connecting to my phone to retrieve my photos taken before the firmware update. This has basically been devastating because I use my camera as a means of therapy and now I can't access not one single photo.
