PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add the option to be alerted when the camera stops recording. The number of times the recording has stopped and I didn't know for however many minutes is ridiculous and infuriating. This is an absolute necessity in this era of self-filming.
I've seen a product specialist in a different post mention that there is no alert so it doesn't interrupt the recording, but for the love of everything, make this a feature that we can turn ON/OFF at our own discretion. It can't be that hard to implement.

Greetings kprobbins,
I can understand your concern for having our Canon cameras provide an alert of when the video recording is interrupted or when the camera stops recording. I have submitted your feedback to our engineers for consideration and may be incorporated in future releases. Please note that decisions to incorporate a particular camera design are made by our engineers and product designers in Japan, based on a number of factors. Consumer demand, technological limitations, and customer feedback are all taken into consideration.

A light on the fron panel would be nice.
In the meantime, ff your camera has a “floppy screen” swing it out and flip it forward.

It does but it's either a distraction or can't be seen when blocked by a teleprompter.
