Moving DPP 4 to a new computer

I'd like to find an easy way to copy all settings, layouts, lenses, etc to a new computer rather than trying to recreate all my environment and settings. Can this be done?

Thanks.

Here is what you can try. This is how I have continued to be able to use Symantec Ghost 11 (the Windows drive cloning app) with Windows 10, even though the program ceased compatibility after Win 7:

1. In Local Disk (C:) in File Manager, open the "Program Files" folder , then the open the "Canon".  folder.

2. Save a copy of the "Digital Photo Professional 4" folder to external media...flash drive, external hard drive etc.

3. On the new computer, delete the existing DPP4 folder and replace it with the one you copied.

4. NOW, repeat steps 1-3 in the "Program Files (x86)" folder.

Just make sure you don't mix up which DPP4 folder from old computer goes into which Program Files folder on new computer it came from.

5. Do the same process to copy-folder-from-old-computer-to-new-computer, in "Local Disk (C:)" - Users- yourname folder.

6. Display (check it) "Hidden items". You will see the "AppData" folder. Open it.

7.   In "Local", open "CANON_INC" and copy the "Dpp4Main...." file to external media.

8. In "Roaming", open "Canon_Inc_IC" folder and copy the "DPP4" folder.

9. Delete the respective file and folder from new computer and move the copies to their espective location.

10. Reboot the new computer and see if the DPP4 has your configuration.

Windows 7 and Windows 10 are VERY similar in how programs install and work. If worst comes to worst, all you have done is screw up DPP4 on the new computer, and you can uninstall it and reinstall it fresh.
