Hi Community, thanks for help in advance. I recently inherited a Cannon camera from a dearly departed friend. What software do I need to download to be able to transfer photos from the camera to my MacBook Air? I'm hoping the EOS 450D is the model number? I have no idea how old it is. Thanks for any help. Keryn

Software for the camera threat was announced in 2007 or 2008 is no longer available so it’s simpler to get an SD card reader that plugs in to your computer and then take the SD card out of the camera and put it in the reader. Then you can use Finder to copy files to the computer or use Apple Photos to import from the card. Other photo software can also work in the same way.

Thank you so much for your reply. I'll look for a card reader.

You don't need software either a card reader or a cable with Image Capture is all you need.
