How to Move RAW Pictures in DCIM Folder to DPP4

Cantrell
Rising Star

All,

I downloaded DPP4 a few weeks ago to my Mac Mini. We went on vacation and I took numerous pictures. I shot RAW on card 1 and JPEG on card 2. Recently downloaded the pictures to DPP4, but something went wrong. The JPEG pictures stayed in the DPP4 app, but the RAW pictures stayed in the DCIM folder. How can I move the RAW pictures in the DCIM folder to the DPP4 application? It has been a challenge trying to use DPP4. Thanks in advance.

Reese

Greetings Cantrell,

Do you have the DPP4 user guide yet?  It's very helpful.

We all use our cameras differently.  I shoot RAW + jpeg. I save all my images to my SD card and I save video to my CF Express B card.  Since you can sort files by type in a folder, I just do that and manually copy files using a card reader.

The EOS Utility is another option.  It allows you to import images to your system. See "transferring images to computer".

I prefer using a card reader.

It may be necessary to go to the playback menu on the camera and select the card with the raw files for playback before connecting the camera to the Mac.

Rick,

Thank you for your response. I use a card reader to download the pictures to my Mini. I found a bound copy of the DPP4 on eBay. It is version 4.12.

All,

Does Canon have an expert or trainer that specializes in DPP4? Thank you.

Skip,

Thank you. I looked at the 4 part series that was 10 years old. John was the announcer. There is another series that is newer and has more episodes. Going to look at that series. Thank you.
