How can I transfer full size images using Camera Connect? I always makes them smaller

I'm connecting my t6s to my smartphone using Camera Connect.  I can view the images on the camera just fine but when I download them to the phone they are resized to 1920X1280.  I'd like to be able to transfer the full size image but can't find any setting to do that.  The camera itself gives me option for full or resized when sending to web service like Canon Gateway but no such setting is apparent for smartphone connection.

The problem was not the camera's firmware. The problem was that I did not have it creating jpg alongside the raw files. Once I set it to create a jpg, it sent the full sized images to my camera through the app. 

I really can't wait until cameras will get the abilty to post straight to the web, though. Why not be able to install apps like phones do? Throw some android on the camera and the rest is already built for them. It's kind of weird they haven't taken this step. How many years we gotta wait? The camera that does this will gain major market share.

Believe it or not, Samsung tried to market a camera that could run apps like a smart phone nearly 10 years ago.  The entire rear panel of the camera was an LED display, just like what you would see on Samsung smart phone devices.  It was a complete flop.

Believe it or not, Canon cameras used to be able to post to social media through the now retired Canon Gateway.  The Canon Gateway would often go offline for undisclosed reasons.  It seems that it has been superseded by a new service named image dot canon, I think it is called.
