I recently upgraded to the new macOS system, Sequoia 15.1 for my computer. Prior to the Sequoia update, I had no problem loading photos from my EOS Rebel T6i to my computer. After the update, I am unable to transfer the photos into Adobe Bridge. I get the following error message:
"Communication with the camera via USB cannot be established. Start EOS Utility after closing all the apps that communicate with the camera, and then turn on the camera again".
I have done everything I know to do and I cannot get anything to work. Anyone else experiencing this?

If all you are interested in is downloading images from the camera use the Apple Image Capture application.

Are you running the most recent version EOS Utility. I did a search and found others were having the same issue and that updating to EOS utility 3.18.5.13 resolved the challenge for Sequoia. There is some current solutions if you search the site.
Sorry I can't offer more help, I'm a Win 11 user.

Thanks! I use Adobe Bridge so I used their photo transfer option. It was much slower than the Canon option but it worked…

Does this also apply to my problem mentioned, suddenly printer not seeming to be found after the Sequoia update, have tried everything, now ordered cable to go from ethernet on printer to adapter to USB C on Apple M1 Imac -

Adding a link to the consolidated (improved) Canon applications page. It should recognize your OS and offer the correct applications.

Hi, I was able to fix this issue by deleting any previous version of EOS utility on my computer, then re-installing the latest version 3.18.5. That worked like a charm. I hope this helps

Works fine on Sequoia 15.2 But does NOT work in 15.3. Any relief?
