Hi, I cannot view images from my new R5mk2, with windows photo app, as the colour is totally wrong, is there an update to improve this? Or do I need another app?

Have you tried Faststone image viewer?

That’s a common issue with newer Canon RAW files—Windows Photo app often struggles with accurate color rendering. I’d recommend using Canon’s free Digital Photo Professional (DPP) software or a RAW editor like Adobe Lightroom, which fully supports the R5 Mark II’s color profiles. These apps will give you much better results and full control over image adjustments.

Thanks for the clarification! It’s easy to overlook how many moving parts are involved in camera file support. I’ve used Canon’s Digital Photo Professional before, and it’s a solid option while waiting on broader software updates—definitely worth trying if you're running into compatibility issues.
