EOS 5D Mark II - How to transfer photos from a computer to camera.

Okay, so here's the story. I stupidly deleted all of my photos off of my EOS 5D Mark II camera, and now I'm trying to get them back onto my camera, I have them on OneDrive in my files explorer, but I tried moving them to my camera in files and it won't work. I've looked up multiple way to transfer my photos from my computer back to my camera, the Internet has me going in circles. (Sometimes it says I need to use a USB cord and they will automatically transfer to my camera, sometimes it says to use the EOS utility apps, but my camera is to old to connect to wifi, I have a SD card scanner on my computer...but the SD card is too big.) I've tried multiple other things but I'm not very tech savvy, I even tried to download my photos from OneDrive it says the photos aren't there. You might be asking why I want to put my photos back on my camera, it's because I need to edit them (I use Canva) and I've tried to upload them just from my files it won't work, also I just like to see my photos on my camera.... someone... anyone please help me, I don't know what to do, I'm desperate. 😭

You need to buy a CF card reader, not the more common SD.

You need a CF card reader, not SD.

But the question is why? You should not use the camera for long term storage of images, or backup. Just leave them off the card.

I need to be able to edit my photos, I don't know why but when I tried to upload my photos from my files to edit them it wouldn't work, so I figured the only way it would is if my pictures are on the camera. By the way I use Canva.

There is something wrong there. There is no reason for Canva to need images on the camera in order to work. I suggest you contact the Canva folks.

I don’t know what you may have read, but that’s not how the camera works.  When a memory card is in the camera connected via USB, you can read the card but you cannot write to it.

You can remove the card from the camera and use a card reader to read it with a computer.  If you copy image files to the card, the camera will not see them when put the card back in the camera.

Do not use the camera or memory cards to store your photos.

The card reader on my computer is to small for my card.

You need to buy a CF card reader, not the more common SD.
