DPP4 for R5 MKII

Robrogers

I just purchased an R5 MKII.   I am going to try DPP4 for editing my photos.   I could not find a DPP4 download for the MK II.    I did see one for the R5.   Is that the only choice - would it work for the MK II?

It will work, the current version (at least for Windows is 4.19.30.0)

The site sometimes has one or two older versions still present so if you downloaded an older version, launch DPP and do an update by clicking on help and then check for updates (the menu bar at the top of the DPP page).

Unlike some apps, DPP doesn't automatically update itself so get in the habit of either watching Canon announcements or more simply just check for updates periodically from within DPP.

I have been using DPP since 2005 and although I have the Adobe creative cloud subscription, the overwhelming majority of what I do is done in DPP.

Link to the version wq9nsc suggested can download here Digital Photo Professional 4.19.30 with a copy of the online HTML manual.

And it does show this version of DPP compatible with the R5 MkII in the manual - Compatible Cameras

Thank you both for the quick replies.   I have always used PSE - so this will be a change.   My current PSE is from 2020 - so I want to try DPP before purchasing the latest PSE.

Latest for windows is 4.19.30

Latest for MAC is 4.19.31.  It's only certified through OSX 14 Sonoma but it may very well work under Sequoia too.

There is a download on EOS / PowerShot / SELPHY Apps & software

Scroll down to find the application your need. Rumor has it depending on your OS the application will suggest the correct version.

Greetings,

it's best to get downloads directly from the Canon USA website.  Sometimes third parties can include bundled or modified software which may not be 100% safe.

Morning Steven,

I checked there and found that only windows is available. I even went so far as to download the 4.19.30 file thinking that the Mac file may be bundled in the zip. It is not part of that file. Do you have a direct link to 4.19.31 Mac that we can use to assist members looking for it?
