DPP4 for R5 MKII

Robrogers

I just purchased an R5 MKII.   I am going to try DPP4 for editing my photos.   I could not find a DPP4 download for the MK II.    I did see one for the R5.   Is that the only choice - would it work for the MK II?

It will only show you the file you need for your OS. It tells you the file versions just below:
This is from my Mac - notice it says "For Mac," but below in details, it tells you the version of the Windows & Mac versions:

And when I download the file, it's 4.19.31 installer .dmg

Very nice Steven, thank you for the images too. So when you go to the DPP site it recognizes your OS and provides you with the correct download link?

Excellent, that's why I never see it. The additional information is real helpful.

That's correct! This is a new tool. It's part of the larger "imaging apps" site: https://canon.us/imagingapps

That site has links to all of the most current apps for our imaging products (EOS / PowerShot / SELPHY). Short links to each app are canon.us followed by whatever the letters are in the icon, so EOS Utility is https://canon.us/eu, webcam utility is https://canon.us/ewu, etc.

I hope this is helpful!

Perfect, thank you very much for the additional information, it is very helpful. Now I can assist others knowing how to use the resource. windows users struggle with anything Mac ;o)

I have the EOS / PowerShot / SELPHY Apps & software page in my bookmarks, very complete and intuitive resource. I simply couldn't for the life of me navigate to the Mac information when I could before, now I know why...

OK......The OS that I have is Catalina.   My imac is older so Catalina is the last OS that it will support.  When I attempted to install the download, the message is that my OS is not supported.   Is there any way to download an older version of DPP?

If one goes to the support page for a camera, then there are options to download older versions of DPP.

For example, if I go to https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/eos-r5#idReference=software-drivers and say my operating system version is Catalina, then I can click on "Load More" at the bottom of the page a few times and get to https://pdisp01.c-wss.com/gdl/WWUFORedirectSerialTarget.do?id=NGE4MjI0NWYx&cmp=ABR&lang=EN

Robrogers, I did a quick search and it appears your are looking for Canon Digital Photo Professional (DPP) version 4.15.0 or later, it supports macOS Catalina (10.15). Unfortunately I have no way to assist, when I try the Canon system only let's me view Windows applications.

If you reach out for support I am confident they can assist you. Call Canon @ 800-385-2155 or 800-652-2666
