Hello,
I am encountering an issue when trying to install Digital Photo Professional (DPP) version 4.19.31 on my Mac Studio running macOS 15.1 (Sonoma). When I start the installer, it immediately quits unexpectedly. I have tried the following troubleshooting steps:
•Installed Rosetta 2 to ensure compatibility with Intel-based applications
Despite these attempts, the installer continues to crash shortly after launching.
Interestingly, the same installer works perfectly on my MacBook running macOS 14 (Ventura). When I checked Canon’s website, I noticed that DPP is not listed as compatible with macOS 15, which suggests there may be a compatibility issue with the latest macOS version.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue with DPP on macOS Sonoma, or is there any update from Canon on support for macOS 15?
Thank you in advance for any insights or suggestions.

It does run, even though Canon hasn't updated the software list for Sequoia. Maybe try deleting the previous installation first. MacBook Air M2 w/ macOS 15.1.

Mac OS Sequoia 15.6 can't install any Canon software using this installer. It comes down to dirty coding, while debugging and looking through the log report the issue is plain and simple. Canon developers have two instances trying to do the same function at the same time, they have both instances located in two different paths.

This will cause spurious casting failures and mysterious crashes. One of the duplicates must be removed or renamed.
