Can no longer use my M50 as a webcam since update to macOS Sonoma v14.6.1

Ever since the update to Mac OS Sonoma (14.6.1) The EOS Utility 3 stoped working.
I tried running older versions of the driver too, but no luck.
Does this mean this camera is no longer working as a webcam now?
Kinda sad since it works fine with OBS etc. Its the stupid Screen lock after 30 min that makes it useless.
The EOS Utility 3 was the work around.

This camera has been nothing but Pain. I bought it to record Youtube etc.
Not knowing it wasn't HD ready etc. All that money wasted on battery power supply, HDMI cables etc.

Any workarounds?
Third party drivers etc?
Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

Does the computer recognize the USB connection at all, or is it totally disconnected? I'm not sure what changes were made to the most recent Mac OS update, but sometimes an OS update can cause issues related to access permissions, it may be worth investigating the computer's security settings. If this is something that is unchangeable through the operating system I would expect an update to EOS Utility 3 to address it in the future.

Hey. It's a HDMI cable, The cables work fine, and the camera works with the cables.

THe OBS app is still connecting. Showing the camera display with the cables. However the Eos Utility 3 app is greyed out. This app was needed in my setup, because it's what's keeping the camera from going sleep mode after 30 min.

I think I checked the settings. I was trying to fix this all day as my podcast rely on it working.

What I end up doing is using the micro USB solution with the stream application. That one still works. But it's much worse than hdmi. Looses frames etc. So not really a good solution. Thnx
