Weird issue, need some help.
For several months, i've been tethering a Canon R to Lightroom Classic on a MacbookPro (Sonoma 14.2.1) with no problems. Monday morning, works fine. Monday afternoon, i get 'The file appears to be unsupported or damaged'.
Restart computer, turn camera on/off, same issue.
Tether the same camera to a second MBP (Sonoma 14.5), it works fine.
Tether a Canon R6 to the original MBP, it works file.
Reinstall/update firmware for Canon R (1.8.0), same situation, doesnt work on MBP(A), does work on MBP(B).
Get a new cable to tether with, hallelujah, it works on MBP(A)! (this was tuesday afternoon)
Thinking the problem was solved, this morning everything is setup – Canon R, MBP(A), New tethering cable... fire up Lightroom Classic, take the shot, 'The file appears to be unsupported or damaged'.... dammit. (for the record, the same computer can still tether to the Canon R6 just fine)
What am i missing? everything i can find to try, i doesnt make sense that it works on one and not the other. (have considered updating MBP(A) to Sonoma 14.5 but - as a test - i tethered to a third MBP running the same OS and it worked fine)
