Camera connect to download videos Options

Hi! When I record videos I am unable to transfer them to my iPhone through camera connect. I wanted to know if there's any way to download the videos through camera connect on to my phone. Any tips would be appreciated. I am not sure if the video is too large for the phone.

My camera is the Power Shot G7X

Never tried to use it, but I would think that you would not to download directly into the phone, but rather to a web service, where it can accessed by you and others.

Hi there!

This is typically a limitation of the phone's software. Most phones cannot handle/read the file types, so it might be worth checking with your phone maker to see if they can provide further guidance!

Hope this helps!

Greetings,

Your G7x supports .MP4 / h264 format.  These files are supported under iOS natively, but cannot be imported directly using Canon Connect.

Please see this link and expand the Additional Screenshots section for release notes.

So unfortunately putting movies on your phone requires an additional step.  Once they are in your iCloud account you can view them and share them from your device.
