Camera Connect app stripping exposure info from EOS 80D RAW files

When using Camera Connect 3.5.11.15, build 1430 with EOS 80D I’ve found that when uploading RAW images to my iOS device, Camera Connect strips out useful camera, lens and exposure settings from the uploaded image. This is a new occurrence. I’ve looked at older images uploaded with prior Camera Connect versions and the data are correctly uploaded  with the images. Also, Camera Connect doesn’t allow  wireless upload of RAW images. Images are uploaded as JPEG.

Has anyone experienced the issue?

Greetings, 

Typically the only information that Canon Connect may strip from images is GPS data.  You should be able to disable this in settings, which will preserve this information.  Other metadata is unaffected.  

The iOS version of Canon Connect allows you to import images in RAW if desired.  The default is jpeg and with that selected some of your metadata could be stripped.  Review your import settings in the App, you can choose RAW if you wish.  Tap the gear icon and select RAW image save format.  Change it from the default jpeg to RAW.
