Apple Aperture and Canon Utilities

Since I use Apple Aperture for post-processing, is there any use to be made of Canon Utilities?

Not really, unless you use the EOS utility for tethering. I only used it to change some information on the camera.

I use it to udate firmware. There are two ways to do it but putting it on the card was not working for some reason so I have always used EOS utility.
