R5 II touch screen protection?

Good day,

Has anyone added a touch screen protection on their unit?
I am thinking about the usual tempered glass film that is anti-scratch & anti-fingerprint.
And if yes, any real world experience if this is necessary like on some smartphones or if Canon screen is good enough to withstands minor scratches.

Is a screen protector necessary? Some ppl would say yes and others no. I put one on my R6 M2 for peace of mind. I did notice it does help cut glare and reduce fingerprints. Plus the day will come when I will sell the camera and preserving the integrity of the screen might help boost value, even if just a little.

I put one of the products available from Amazon. I don't know if it is necessary but I don't see any negative.

Yes, that was my line of thought as well. A little extra protection won’t hurt. Many thanks to both of you for your replies.
