LP-E6P battery compatibility with EOS 5D Mark IV

Hi, I am looking to order a new battery for my Canon Mark 5D IV but am only seeing the Canon LP-E6P as an option. Currently I have an LP-E6N which is what the camera came with.

It sounds like either battery should work but I just want to make sure before making the purchase.

Greetings,

You can use the LP-E6P in the 5D mkIV.  The new battery is backwards compatible and the camera doesn't need a firmware upgrade.
