Hi everyone!
I have a 5D Mark II. I want to buy a spare battery next to 2x LP-E6 batteries. LP-E6NH is compatible as I know, but there's a new battery in the corner, the LP-E6P for the R5 Mark II. For future proofing (and we didn't know yet what the R6 Mark III will support), I want to try the LP-E6P.
Can I use the LP-E6P for the 5D Mark II from 2008?
Thank You for your answers!

Greetings,
We don't know yet. Initial reports indicate a firmware update might be needed for older body's to use the new 6P battery. I don't know about the 5D2 getting an update at this point. R52's are starting to make their way into people's hands. You should have an answer fairly soon.
