How to connect Smallrig 3168b neewer Np-F970 to EOS R8

So I mistakenly asked chat gpt on ways to use an external battery to use with my r8. I had originally bought a dummy battery with a usb connection which I connected to the smallrig plate and it kept giving me an error. I then realized I need a dc output dummy battery to plug into the 7.4 input on the smallrig plate. I can’t seem to find the product I need. Is there something Im missing or is there a dummy battery that anyone knows would work? Thanks

Greetings ,

The NP-F970 is a Sony battery.  It is 7.2 volts and only supplies approx 47w.  It does not meet the requirements for Canon R series body.

I recommend you go for a USB-C PD power bank.  Or, a V-mount.

Make sure the battery (whatever you choose) is minimum 65w, 9v, and 3.0A.

Based on the specs, the battery does not meet minimum requirements.
