Can I use the HDMI out to a HDMI capture device like to get extended recording time?

I need to record a speaker for times that exceed the 25 minute recording time!

You would be able to record the output from the HDMI if you have an external recorder set up.

Would the live audio pass threw the HDMI output as well?

So I could use a atamos ninja recorder with this camera?

Audio would pass through the HDMI as well.  Canon doesn't  make the Atomos Ninja, but if it meets the recording parameters of the camera then it should work in theory.
